Hello and welcome to Kind Practice Yoga. My name is Kate, founder and teacher at Kind Practice. Movement is something I have always loved. From netball and dancing when I was younger, water-skiing throughout my teenage years, to Yoga, Pilates and Strength Training now as an adult. I really believe movement is medicine. When we are flexible, strong and balanced in our body, it helps us be so emotionally and mentally as well.
A little more about me...
I have a supportive husband and two energetic and loving children. If I'm not teaching or moving my body myself, then I'll be with my family, at home or relaxing on the Murray River.
Originally a Psychology graduate, I pivoted and ended up as a Primary School Teacher for 7 years, finishing with a role in Wellbeing. As you can see, wellbeing and supporting others has been something I have always been drawn to.
While embracing my role as a mother, I continued to want to support others, which lead me to completing my Yoga Teacher Training. Since then I haven't been able to stop learning new things, and now have the following qualifications that allow me to work in this space:
Yoga Teacher (350hr teacher training with Yoga101) Dec 2020, Pre and Post Natal Yoga (Bliss Baby Yoga) Apr 2021, Kids Yoga (Zenergy Yoga) Mar 2022, Reformer Pilates (Barre Body) Nov 2023, Restorative Yoga (Bliss Baby Yoga) Sep 2024, Safe Return to Exercise certification (working with Pre and Post Natal mums) Sep 2024, Mat Pilates (Positive Action Pilates) Nov 2024, Pelvic Floor Anatomy & Physiology for Women's Health (Bliss Baby Yoga) Nov 2024.
